Company Profile
Our History
The Professionals Tom Noonan Estate Agency is a family company with its Real Estate traditions dating back to the 1920’s when Tom Noonan’s grandfather, Thomas Patrick Noonan, was a reputable estate agent and auctioneer in Stanley Street, South Brisbane. He was a respected identity within the industry and held the position as State President of the Real Estate Institute of Queensland, around the time of the great depression.
After a number of years spent in sales and management, Tom and Anne Noonan began their own business during the late 80’s. They were later joined in the business by their sons Randall and Shaun, as well as their daughter Leigh-Anne.
Sadly, in October 2008, Anne passed away after a 10-month battle with cancer.
Anne’s passing preceded a period of understandable soul searching for the family and contemplation of the future direction of their business.
Today, the family are focussed on new plans for growth. The company is better placedthan ever to serve their clients with a team of highly experienced professionals in key roles.
How are Real Estate sales teams structured?
A typical real estate office consists of several different personalities (egos) working in competition with one another. An owner lists their home with a high profile company expecting to gain the support of the entire firm – rarely does this happen in reality. Sales people are usually paid more when they sell their own listings. When you list your home, you end up with one salesperson trying hard to sell your home while the others are focussed on pushing their listings. Is this the best way to obtain your desired outcome when selling your home? Who represents your interests when your chosen salesperson is on leave, gone fishing or on the golf course?
The Difference with the Professionals Gladstone
The Noonan’s believe that the best compliment they can be given is when someone says, “You’re not like other real estate agents!” The Sales Team at Professionals Tom Noonan Estate Agency operate in a format which is called an “Effective Business Unit”. The concept is relatively simple. There are numerous tasks to complete in any real estate sales transaction, some of which are administrative, some involve people and others require strategy and negotiation skills. This mix of skills is very rarely, if ever, found in one person. The E.B.U. breaks roles down, and allows the best people to focus on the right tasks.
How will the E.B.U. benefit you?
A Contactable Agent
You can always get in touch with at least one member of the E.B.U. Even when one member is off sick or on leave, you can be assured the rest of the team is there working hard for you and ready to field any queries you may have.
Experts in their field
Working in a sales team is no different to a sporting team, each member has their strengths and with the E.B.U. model, staff can focus on their area of expertise. This means that they are not bogged down in areas where they don’t excel. One team member may invent unique and effective marketing strategies; one may be attentive and consultative when dealing with buyers and another may be a stone-cold expert negotiator, skilled in obtaining the best price for your home. By appointing a single agent there is only so much time in the day and only so much work they can do effectively.
More People working towards your goal
Within most offices, single agents compete with each other or operate within small teams, again competing with each other. Having all property consultants working within a single E.B.U. provides a team environment within which to work – a single team goal to get a great result for you. Obviously a team of 6 can handle more work than a single agent, our team makes sure every task no matter how big or small, gets completed on time. It’s the little things that make the experience smooth and enjoyable.
Exceptional Service
The model is exceptionally structured and process driven with nothing left to memory or chance. This provides an exceptional delivery of service, as each member is focused on their role with less conflicting objectives.
More Qualified Buyers
The Buyer Specialist of the EBU focuses on fielding enquiry, showing properties, negotiating with and nurturing buyers, meaning our database boasts more ‘qualified’ buyers rather than just lists of names. Think about last time you were looking to buy and the service you received.
Focus on Communication
Regular meetings with all EBU members allow all team members to be ‘up to speed’ on all properties as well as provide you with a weekly written marketplace report.
